How we calculate this

Changes per day (default): The American Academy of Pediatrics' own guidance gives two concrete figures: "as many as 8 to 12" changes a day for a newborn (we default to the 10-change midpoint) and an "average six diaper changes a day" after that. Diapers per box: Defaults to 168, a common box size, purely as a placeholder. Box counts vary by brand and size, so there's no figure we could source that would be accurate for your product — replace it with the count printed on your own box.
